Dr Chua Ka-Hee

Dr Chua Ka-Hee (蔡佳熙医生) began his medical career in 2006 and has over 15 years of experience in reproductive medicine. His work spans gynaecology and obstetrics, fertility care, and andrology, allowing him to support patients across different stages of their reproductive journey.

After spending many years in public service, Dr Chua continues his clinical practice at Alpha IVF Centre & Alpha Women’s Specialists Singapore, where he remains committed to helping couples navigate fertility challenges with confidence, clarity, and compassionate care.

 

Clinical Expertise

Dr Chua is a fertility specialist with extensive experience in managing complex reproductive conditions. He offers a comprehensive range of treatments, from hormonal therapy and assisted reproductive techniques such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilisation (IVF), to advanced laparoscopic reproductive surgery aimed at optimising fertility outcomes.

He also subspecialises in male fertility and previously served as the resident Andrology Specialist at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital before entering private practice. During his tenure, he pioneered the Microdissection Testicular Sperm Extraction (micro-TESE) service at KKH—an advanced surgical procedure for men with azoospermia, or the absence of sperm in the semen.

Beyond fertility care, Dr Chua has supported many couples through high-risk pregnancies, guiding them safely toward parenthood. He is a fully accredited Minimally Invasive Surgeon with expertise in laparoscopic procedures for both gynaecological and reproductive conditions.

 

Education & Training

Dr Chua obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He completed his postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Singapore General Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK).

He subspecialised in fertility and reproductive medicine at KKIVF Centre, where he served as Lead Male Infertility Specialist and played a key role in introducing micro-TESE services in Singapore.

Medical Teaching & Leadership

Dr Chua is actively involved in medical education and clinical training. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate medical students across multiple medical schools in Singapore and serves as an examiner for final MBBS examinations. He has also contributed to research in obstetrics, gynaecology, and fertility published in peer-reviewed journals.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Chua served as Lead for Women’s Inpatient Operations at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, ensuring continuity of essential women’s healthcare services. He also held leadership roles in patient safety and disease outbreak preparedness, reflecting his commitment to clinical excellence and healthcare system resilience.
