PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION STATEMENT

  • the Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines and directives,
  • the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics Act (PHMCA) or Healthcare Services Act (HCSA) (where applicable),
  • other relevant healthcare-related regulations in Singapore.

We are committed to safeguarding your personal data and will manage it responsibly. Our data protection policies and procedures may be updated periodically to ensure continued compliance with the PDPA and MOH requirements. We reserve the right to amend this Statement where necessary.

1. Personal Data We Collect

Depending on the nature of your interaction with us, the personal data we may collect includes:

a) Personal Identifiers

  • Name, gender, date of birth
  • NRIC, passport number, FIN, or other identification numbers

 

b) Contact Information

  • Telephone number, mobile number
  • Email address, mailing and residential address

 

c) Financial Information

  • Credit or debit card details (cardholder name, card number, expiry date)
  • Billing address and payment records

 

d) Healthcare and Sensitive Personal Data

  • Medical history, clinical notes, diagnostic information
  • Laboratory results, imaging reports, vital signs
  • Appointment records, treatment information
  • Information collected during consultations, investigations or procedures

 

2. Purpose for Collection, Use and Disclosure

We collect, use, and disclose your personal data for purposes necessary to provide you with safe and effective medical care, including but not limited to:

a) Provision of Medical Care & Clinic Operations

  • Appointment scheduling, reminders, confirmation
  • Registration, consultation, treatment and follow-up care
  • Referral to other healthcare professionals, hospitals, laboratories, radiology centres or allied health providers
  • Coordination of care, including continuity of care

 

b) Administrative, Billing and Payment Purposes

  • Insurance claims processing
  • Payment for services, issuing invoices and receipts
  • Internal administrative support and auditing

 

c) Operational, Regulatory and Safety Requirements

  • Compliance with MOH regulations, licensing and audits
  • Reporting required by laws, regulatory authorities or public health purposes
  • Quality assurance, service improvement, staff training

 

d) Communications

  • Responding to your inquiries and requests
  • Communicating service-related updates, operational notices or patient care information

 

Consent for Medical Care

By voluntarily providing your personal data to receive medical care, you are deemed to have consented to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of your data for all purposes directly related to your treatment and clinic operations.

Withholding Data

Do note that if you choose not to provide certain information, we may be unable to provide some services or medical care safely.

 

3. Confidentiality & Data Protection Measures

We take patient confidentiality very seriously and implement appropriate safeguards, including:

  • Access restriction: Only doctors, nurses and authorised personnel involved in your care may access your medical records.
  • Regular audits: Periodic checks ensure only authorised individuals have accessed your data.
  • Security arrangements:
    • Protected electronic systems
    • Encryption and secure transmission channels where appropriate
    • Physical security such as restricted access areas
    • Confidentiality obligations for all staff

These measures are consistent with PDPC and MOH’s expectations for healthcare providers.

 

4. Your Rights Under the PDPA

a) Right to Access

You may request access to personal data in our possession.
We will provide the information in accordance with PDPA requirements and within a reasonable time.
A reasonable administrative fee may apply.

b) Right to Correction

You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
We will correct it as soon as practicable unless valid grounds exist to refuse correction (e.g., conflicting medical information).

c) Right to Withdraw Consent

You may withdraw consent for the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data by giving us reasonable notice.
However, withdrawal of consent:

  • may affect the medical care we are able to provide to you, and
  • may affect services provided by other healthcare providers relying on the data.

We will inform you of the implications before processing your request.
